![]() Good luck and I hope you find your issued diminishing as time goes on. Maybe spray some lubricant into the door latch mechanism and open and close the door several times to try and loosen the mechanism up enough to activate the switch. This switch is part of the lock mechanism. The passenger door ajar could be a door switch in the offending door. Was there someone in the passenger seat of the truck? If so, did they have an arm resting on the door or maybe their purse? I have had to have a discussion with my Wife about resting her purse on the door in the past. When you go to park it might be set up to unlock the doors automatically. The locks acting up sounds like the truck was getting a signal that you were in drive and then park. The thing that makes me think that is the dim or late starting driver information center readout. If that doesn't help then there might be a ground issue under the dash some place. Press it too fast and it won't change either. Hold it too long it doesn't change into the other mode. I thought mine was not working until I played with it enough times to get it to work. I don't know why but the computer is set up that way. If you push the button and hold it too long the tow/haul mode light will not turn on or off. I will address the tow / haul button activity. I'm hoping these are a minor fix, but a little annoyed to be starting out with issues already. I just got this truck after going through hell with a 6.0 superduty. Lastly, my digital screen (miles, gear, etc) sometimes does not light up when I start the vehicle but will after a few minutes. The other day while driving my door locks were going haywire. The other issue I'm having, is every time I shift into gear, the dash reads "passenger door ajar" even though it isn't. The confusing part to me was that it would turn on in manual mode. From what I can see, it is in fine condition. I read many threads about the orange wire being broken so that was my first thing I looked at. Now it does not engage at all, or light up. The other day I noticed the tow/haul button would only engage when in manual mode. I just got an 06 Dually and am getting ready to tow for the first time with it. the starter solenoid (usually a Purple Wire) when the shifter in any position except when in neutral or park positions, so that the car.
